Miss Swellendam 2017

Railton Foundation Swellendam organized the Miss Swellendam Beauty Pageant that was presented on 21 September 2017 in the VRT Pitt Primary School Hall in Railton. The objective of this pageant is to develop role models and ambassadors for the organization and Swellendam.

14 contestants entered the competition and we were fortunate to have Hanschen Viljoen, Mrs Breede Valley 2017, on board for this prestigious event. She assisted the finalists with their preparation for the pageant and it was evident on the night of the pageant that they took her advice. The contestants were nervous but they presented themselves very well and they looked absolutely beautiful and elegant in their evening wear.

And the winners are…

Cecile Afrikaner – Miss Swellendam 2017

Delecia Dyers – 1st Princess

Chante Booysen – 2nd Princess

The winners received prizes to the total value of approximately                              R 7 5 0 0!!!

The three judges, Mrs Breede Valley 2017, Shihaam Domingo of the Domingo Effect and Koketso Kotsoe, the newly appointed manager of Bontebok National Park, were absolutely independent and professional. Elton “Delarey” Jansen of Shucks Tshabalala fame, who also travelled all the way from Cape Town, was an outstanding, professional and vibrant master of ceremonies.

It is with gratitude that we thank each and every one of the following sponsors who basically said yes immediately to endorse this pageant. CardioZone Gym, The Hair Studio, Clicks Swellendam, Evolution Media House, Cape Branding Services, Flametree Guesthouse, Hanschen Viljoen, Shinel Jacobs-Hallo Dolly Fashion Accessories, Flora Jubilee, Best Embroidery Services, Cherne Leroe, Heather Bloemfontein, Vanessa Pfotenhauer, Le-Ann Florists, Amanda Shackley and Monken’s Coffee Shop.
