Railton Foundation Swellendam hosted the 2018 Miss Swellendam Beauty Pageant on the 4th of October 2018 in the VRT Pitt Primary School Hall. The pre-judging session took place on the 29th of September 2018 and last night was the finale of the competition process.


Hanschen Viljoen (Mrs Breede Valley 2017, Else du Plessis (Artist & Manager of Boondoggle Shopping Emporium Swell&dam) and Sgt. Major Daniel Phillips (SANDF) were the judges for this pageant and we thank them for availing their time last night to be of service to the Foundation. Elton Jansen (Singer, Actor, Radio Presenter) travelled from Cape Town to be our Program Director and also performed an item. The lovely Farren Plaatjies of Swellendam also vowed the audience with her performance.


Everyone present was in awe of the beauty and poise of the 13 contestants and the judges definitely had a difficult task. The 5 finalists (in no particular order) were Amore Amsterdam, Tanya Wagner, Danielle Japhtas, Asiphe Zanywa and Delecia Dyers.
