STREET SOCCER NEWS ON AFRICA DAY!!!

On Friday, the 25th of May 2018 (Africa Day), the Sport Development Team of Railton Foundation Swellendam travelled to Oasis Linking Lives in Philippi with the 4 players from Railton who were selected on 25th of March 2018, to participate in the Africa Day tournament. Rudi Petersen, Jerome Boy, Benedict Tiete and Yandisa Madolo did very well against players from Gauteng, KZN, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and different areas in the Western Cape who competed for a spot in the national trials to represent South Africa at the 2018 Homeless Soccer World Cup in Mexico.

Our guys did very well and Jerome and Rudi were selected as part of the 12 players! They will attend a training camp at Oasis later this year where the final team will be selected to represent South Africa at the Homeless World Cup.

Railton Foundation Swellendam is grateful to be part of the development of these young men and we hope that the community will rally behind them and support them every step of the way.

Well done to each and every one who made this possible and congratulations to Jerome and Rudi.
